As the snow started to fall on Saturday night we rolled out our film installation for the "Ghosts in the Garden" collection. The "skull and butterfly" image created by Sage Vaughn was animated by Seattle artist Victor Shergill for Pulp Lab. The film ran overnight so that visitors walking around Ballard for art walk could view the installation of the dresses and film from the street -- in all its ghostly glory!

City Stimulus is a grass-roots event to celebrate small businesses and reward buyers who shop local. Our first event will take place in Seattle with a 4-day "pub crawl" of Downtown Seattle, Capitol Hill & South Lake Union restaurants, bars and retailers.

More experiments incubating art and retail lay ahead and we are very excited for the future. We've been invited to lead Pulp Lab's "My Favorite Things" tour of the SAM Permanent Collection during the event. It should be a fun and laid-back stroll through the galleries as we explore how items from the Permanent Collection connect with the themes of the Ghosts in the Garden designs. SAM's First Friday REMIX night is free with museum admission. DJ SunTzu Sound returns to REMIX with its cosmic blend of urban cultures and organic rhythms. We'll be at the First Thursday Art Walk at the Alexis Hotel on 10/2, First Friday REMIX at the Seattle Art Museum on 10/3, and in the windows of some of our favorite boutiques across town throughout the month of October.
