Tomorrow, Tuesday January 10th, Mercedez-Benz New York Fashion Week will announce its Autumn/Winter 2012 lineup. The Pre-Fall 2012 coverage and Spring/Summer 2012 shows may provide some clues to next season’s womenswear collection. Jenni Kayne and Preen are caressed by androgyny, with oversized sweaters, rectangular frames and front-pleated pants with graphic tribal print inspired geometric lines. In terms of color, navy and heather gray is part of Boy by Band of Outsiders’ palette which keeps the casual look neat and tidy. Gray also appears in Andrea Crew’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection patched with neon or brindle. The four designers featured here use cable knit, silk, jersey cotton, leather, and wool. Some of the other materials that they use and are not shown below are sheer chiffon, corduroy and velvet.
